Direct fired gas heaters - These highly efficient, compact, robust, fully portable heaters are best for places that need large volumes of warm air, such as factories, warehouses, loading bays, construction sites, concrete batching plants and farm buildings, which have plenty of natural ventilation. Our direct fired heaters can be used with either 110 volt or 240 volt power supplies.
Our range starts with a small mobile catalytic cabinet heaters of 3kw in capacity, these have a butane gas bottle supplied with them and do not require any electrical supply. They are often used for heating rooms which are remote and do not have any power available.
The range then extends to the G range of direct fired portable gas heaters, which have a built-in circulation fan and therefore require a 230 volt or 110 volt power supply. These units are available in a range of capacities from 30kW up to 80kW and includes the very popular G30 and G80 units.
As with all direct fired heaters, they must have permanent ventilation to the outside environment. They are not suitable for marquee uses, or environments where flammable materials are stored or where people are in close proximity. For health and safety reasons, it is essential that you choose and operate the right type of heater for your location and application. We will be pleased to advise you on the safest and most appropriate heater(s) to use.
All direct fired heaters require permanent ventilation to the outside atmosphere and it’s recommended to allow a minimum of 6.5cm2 for every 293W of heat input. Propane cylinders must be used and stored in accordance with the highly flammable liquids and liquefied petroleum gases regulation 1972, which we will be pleased to explain.
