Air conditioners with HEPA filtration now highly sought-after by healthcare trusts

We’re quickly approaching that time of year when businesses turn their attention to the summer, with air conditioning normally high on a typical list of priorities. Of the many industries we deal with, it’s often healthcare trusts demonstrating the most proactivity – which is why we have received more enquiries from the NHS than any other organisation or body in the last fortnight.

The need for cooling in a hospital is hardly a new phenomenon but we have noticed a greater influx of requests for portable air conditioning units fitted with HEPA filtration. As explained in this blog, our PAC 22 and PAC 60 units can be fitted with an advanced filter that guarantees cleaner and safer airflows while simultaneously reducing indoor temperatures during the peak of summer.

Such requirements have unsurprisingly become increasingly common over the past two years, particularly from facility management companies working on behalf of clients based in the healthcare sector.

Earlier this week, we were contacted by an FM service provider who sought two of our PAC 22 units for the largest ward of a prominent hospital in Manchester. A long-term hire agreement hinged on the air conditioners being compatible with an additional layer of protection as an infection control measure, and the presence of our HEPA filters very much fitted the bill!

Some suppliers specialise in air conditioning, some specialise in air quality control solutions, but we excel across the board. And if having the necessary kit available and primed wasn’t enough, we arranged for the two units to be delivered less than 24 hours after first discussing the project with our contact!
