The Role

As a Sales Engineer (Pumps), you’ll be responsible for developing new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing customers across your territory. Working closely with operational teams, you’ll provide expert pumping solutions tailored to customer requirements, helping to deliver exceptional service and commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities across multiple sectors.
• Develop and grow relationships with existing customers and key accounts.
• Conduct site visits to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate pumping solutions.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and technical recommendations.
• Work collaboratively with depot and operational teams to ensure excellent service delivery.
• Manage your sales pipeline and achieve agreed revenue targets.
• Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for business growth.
• Represent Andrews Sykes professionally at all times, promoting our market-leading products and services.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual who combines commercial drive with technical understanding.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a sales, business development or technical sales role.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to identify opportunities and convert them into long-term business partnerships.
• Commercial awareness and a results-driven mindset.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience within the pump hire, plant hire, construction, utilities or related industries.
• Technical knowledge of pumping applications and solutions.
• Experience working with contractors, facilities management companies, utilities or industrial customers.
