Apprenticeships

Andrews Sykes has a longstanding history of recruiting and developing apprentices, and this is something we’re immensely proud of. Over the years, this commitment has proved mutually beneficial and allowed several apprentices to progress to senior roles within the business.

Each apprentice will be enrolled on to a relevant programme with a recognised training organisation or local college to assist with their development and help refine skills that are required for the intended role.

This process is geared towards apprentices gaining the knowledge and experience they need to successfully complete training via a combination of on-site and external training.

Workplace learning and mentoring will be gained by working with and alongside experienced Andrews Sykes staff who specialise in their unique field of expertise, such as HVAC or pump engineering.

We ensure that all training is conducted within a safe working environment that complies with the latest health and safety regulations – an important and constant characteristic of all aspects of an apprentice’s training.

Apprenticeships are available to new and existing members of staff, and the company remains conscious of our unwavering commitment to producing well-rounded individuals at the completion of their programme.

At present, Andrews Sykes currently employs apprentices within both our depot network and our head office in Wednesbury.

Looking ahead, it is the company’s intention to continue running further apprenticeship schemes in various areas, including within our operations team and HR department.
