‘Snow bomb’ covers the country prompting weather warnings throughout
The worst snowstorms in Britain for four years are continuing to cause widespread disruption across the UK. Millions of Brits have braved treacherous journeys to get into work on ‘Black Monday’, with roads and railways being closed and whole towns left without power.
Snow and ice have contrived to cause widespread disruption across the UK, and is forecasted to persist across norther England and much of Scotland over the next few days. The hope is that this then gives way to merely icy conditions, with as much as 30cm of snow already recorded in Sennybridge, Wales.
The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings in several locations due to icy surfaces following freezing temperatures across the Midlands, East of England, London and the South East.
