James joined our marketing department in February 2014, after graduating from the University of Brighton with a journalism degree. As such, his primary role is centred on producing a full range of textual content in-house, including HVAC PR, editorials, e-mail campaigns, advertorials and other external features.
Ross has worked at the company for five consecutive summers, fulfilling a number of roles within the business before joining the marketing team full-time in October 2013. He graduated from the University of Greenwich with a degree in Advertising, Marketing and Communications, and is responsible for much of our creative output. Ross is predominantly involved with designing artwork and graphics but also contributes towards organising exhibitions, trade shows and other one-off events.
Francesca completed her master’s degree in Public and Business Communication in 2011 at the University of Milan. She worked for four years as press officer for national exhibitions in Italy before moving to London in January 2016. Francesca speaks Italian, French and English, and her main duties include updating our Italian and French-speaking websites. She has also experience in graphic and web design.
Chris started his career in the Royal Navy, where he was a marine engineer for over six years. He has since spent over 30 years in the pump hire industry with extensive experience throughout the UK, Europe and the USA. He joined Andrews Sykes in 2011, and is now Sales Director of Sykes Pumps, after spells as Pump Development Director and Director of Major Accounts. Chris’ responsibilities include the hire and sales of our full range of surface mounted and submersible pumps.
As UK Sales Director, Carl is responsible for our HVAC, Dehumidification, Boiler and a Chiller division which is comprised of the UK’s largest range of specialist hire equipment and services. After completing his apprenticeship in fabrication and welding for ventilation systems, Carl started his career in the hire industry joining a small tool hire company in Essex. Carl has been in the hire industry for over 27 years and originally joined Andrews Sykes in 1991 as hire desk supervisor in our Basildon office. Carl’s role is to oversee the sales for the HVAC and Specialist Hire Divisions supplying cooling and heating solutions for our customers nationwide.
Clare Ward is a public relations professional with more than 35 years’ experience. She established Clare PR in 1989 after gaining a CAM Diploma in Marketing from the University of Manchester and working for major PR consultancies in both the UK and the USA. Focusing on the built environment and in related sectors, Clare PR celebrated 25 years’ in business in 2014 and during that time has delivered an impressive portfolio of campaigns for Bovis Lend Lease, MJ Gleeson, P&O Properties, Electrium, and VP plc.
