We have an opportunity for a Major Account Manager based in the London & South East.

As Major Account Manager you will develop and drive the sales and marketing strategy, market, income generation and sales activities for the product group. If you’re a target-orientated individual with a penchant for exceeding sales objectives, we’d be very interested to hear from you.

The position of Major Account Manager would suit a tenacious and energetic sales professional with experience of managing a range of different sized accounts, from public sector and large or complex corporates to smaller independents. You will also have in depth knowledge and experience of the technical and commercial aspects and applications of the PUMP product range and evidence of on-target performance within a direct business-to-business sales environment. Experience direct sales to the Construction and Allied Sectors would also be desirable.

To manage a set portfolio of existing National Accounts with focus on annual targeted revenue growth.
- Increasing year to date annual spend.
- To strengthen and develop relationships with key decision makers.
- Improving market share in a challenging and competitive environment.
- Maintain regular face to face interaction with key stakeholders at all levels both site based and office based.

You will be highly motivated, commercially aware and committed to delivering results. You will also demonstrate the ability to identify and target the key market sectors applicable to the product group and take action to enter new markets.

As this is a field-based position you will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have the flexibility to regularly travel across the UK.

Required Experience

- A minimum of 3 years mid-level sales experience gained in a field based role.
- Experience of capital equipment within the construction, industrial, public sector and/or related industries.
-Hire Industry Knowledge is preferred but not essential.
- This is a national role and therefore overnight stays will be required from time to time.
- Evidence of on target performance within a direct business to business sales environment.
- The ability to understand and adapt to new products and services.
