Temporary energy centres

A temporary energy centre offers our customers a completely bespoke freestanding solution that provides a multi-megawatt application of heating and hot water, featuring boosted cold water services including fire prevention systems.

What is a temporary energy centre?

A temporary energy centre set-up is a self-contained, fully customisable application that provides a reliable and efficient solution allowing heating, as well as hot and cold water, for a range of applications. This energy centre can be used in conjunction with all Andrews boilers and is perfect for situations where construction projects are ongoing and permanent plant has not yet been installed, which would otherwise prevent future tenants from occupying the building.

What does the temporary energy centre include?

The temporary energy centre offered by Andrews’ specialist hire team incorporates a range of features and benefits to provide a complete solution for a project’s needs. Some of the features of the energy centre include:

  • Softened water supply: A softened water supply is essential to prevent the build-up of limescale in a newly commissioned system, and improve energy efficiency.
  • Side stream filtration: Side stream filtration removes impurities from the water, prevents corrosion, and ensures a clean supply to a site system including temporary boiler packages.
  • Dosing pot: A dosing pot is used to add chemicals to the water supply for full treatment and monitoring of the system, enabling a complete set-up and preventing future damage to the boiler system.
  • Boosted mains cold water service: The energy centre has a full boosted mains cold water service, which can be used for maintenance cold water services and fire suppression systems.

What are the benefits of a temporary energy centre?
