Wolves versus Charlton Athletic: proudly sponsored by Andrews Sykes

As part of the company’s extended effort to recognise and commemorate our 50^th anniversary, senior directors and employees descended upon Wolverhampton on Saturday 24 January – the city in which Andrews was established more than half a century ago.

The business has extremely close links with the area – as well as South East London – so it was perhaps fitting that when Charlton visited Molineux that afternoon, we sponsored the match and took members of staff along for the day.

Special guest and company founder John Andrews was also in attendance, almost thirty years after retiring as CEO.

Despite an eventual 0-0 score-line, the match was a gripping affair that really could have been won by either side. UK Operations Director Dave Himsworth then presented Wolves winger Rajiv van La Parra with his man of the match award, rounding off an excellent day for all present.

Other functions and events have been scheduled for the near future as we look to celebrate five decades of successful enterprise; announcements regarding these will be made in due course.
