Uninterrupted production achieves optimum Return on Investment

Andrews Sykes helps to maintain business continuity for global manufacturing plant

Despite the perception that the UK is a service based economy, manufacturing output still accounts for 7% of UK Plc. No one can deny how tough and competitive this sector is though, and key is to maximise the output of capital intensive plant, even in the face of essential maintenance

When a global biscuit factory needed to replace the flooring at one of their production lines in their London Factory, it was essential to keep production going but no risk of dust or contamination to the process could be allowed. Andrews Sykes Ventilation Hire was asked to provide a robust and dependable solution to extract harmful particles that could affect the biscuit making process.

Following site survey and extensive consultation with the factory operations team, Andrews Ventilation Hire designed a system that firstly involved sheeting off the production line to minimise the area of contamination, and secondly deployed two Andrews Sykes FV900 Ventilation Fans connected to temporary ducting, to extract the dust from the production area. This insured that no contaminated got through to the production lines allowing biscuit production to continue uninterrupted.
