Ingram enjoys dream WRC2 debut at Rally Turkey

Last weekend marked a genuine landmark in the career of Chris Ingram – and he certainly didn’t disappoint! The 24-year-old got his first taste of World Rally Championship action in Turkey, fulfilling a lifetime ambition in the process.

The gruelling contest spanned four days with Chris and two other WRC2 drivers prominently positioned on the leaderboard at the close of action on Saturday.

And Sunday’s finale saw the Heat for Hire-sponsored man secure third place in the WRC2 category and a top ten finish overall, marking an astonishing introduction to World Championship rallying.

Ingram wins yet another trophy in front of Wales Rally GB competition winners

Earlier this month, Andrews Heat for Hire teamed up with Chris Ingram to offer our customers, staff and social media followers the chance to win tickets to the Wales Rally GB at Cholmondeley Castle.

A number of winners were selected at random prior to the event and descended upon Cheshire this weekend to witness the action up close from a designated VIP hospitality area.

Billed as the largest and most high-profile motor rally on these shores, the Wales Rally GB is a round on the FIA World Rally Championship – attracting more than 100,000 visitors this year alone.

Chris Ingram prepared for career-defining fortnight

Britain’s leading driver Chris Ingram has indicated that he has never felt better on the eve of his first foreign World Rally Championship event.

The 22-year-old Mancunian is set to compete in the Rallye Deutschland between the 18^th – 21^st August before making his way to the Czech Republic – for Round 5 of the European Junior Rally Championship.

Following our sponsorship announcement earlier in the month, Chris will be back behind the wheel of an Andrews Heat for Hire-branded Opel Adam R2. More than 200,000 spectators are estimated to watch events unfold trackside in Germany, with BT Sport and Channel 4 also broadcasting the three-day contest to an audience of several million people.

Following a successful one-off sponsorship of rally driver Chris Ingram during the Circuit of Ireland in April, Andrews Heat for Hire are delighted to extend our partnership with the 22-year-old until the end of the season.

Chris is currently Britain’s leading driver and Junior competitor at the highly-publicised European Rally Championships, which is broadcast on Eurosport to an audience well in excess of 300 million people.

2016 marks the Manchester-based sportsman’s first as an Opel rally driver, but this hasn’t stopped him from taking an incredible 11-point lead after a string for fine performances in the Azores, Belgium and Estonia.
