Rapid Response Pump

Providing swift, dedicated service in any condition

We recently dispatched Andy, one of our top field engineers, to a remote quarry location before hazardous conditions and heavy rainfall could cause any problems on site.

Although it was late in the day after completing a full schedule, Andy readily agreed to drive to the quarry. Upon arrival, he methodically assessed and addressed multiple complex issues to successfully restore pumping operations before rising water levels became dangerous.

Throughout the challenging process, Andy applied his technical expertise while maintaining an upbeat attitude and keeping the client informed of his progress. He made multiple trips in the rain and mud to retrieve needed tools and parts from his service vehicle parked some distance away from the area of concern.

Rapid Response pump: leading the industry, then and now

It’s been almost six years since we first launched our revered Rapid Response pump – and it’s still as popular as ever among our customers.

Simple in both its design and concept, the unit’s primary advantage is the fact that it can legally be towed by small vans and medium-sized vehicles in the event of an emergency.

There is no need for a dedicated delivery lorry, no need for an expert engineer to oversee installation, and no need for any specialist training.

Although small in size, our Rapid Response model can pump up to 130,000 litres of water for every hour of operation, with a self-priming feature allowing it to be up and running within seconds of arriving on site.

Sykes Pumps cut emergency reaction times with new innovation

Sykes Pumps are delighted to introduce a new concept in emergency pumping by unveiling our revolutionary Rapid Response unit. The main feature of our latest innovation is its lightweight frame which allows it to be legally towed by vans and other medium sized vehicles.

Complying with all industry regulations, the Rapid Response pump negates the need for delivery lorries, tahcographs and – perhaps most importantly – any additional manpower. The unit can be attached, delivered and set up by a single operative, simplifying the whole process between transportation and installation.
