Rally team drop in to meet Andrews staff in London

Last week, the European Rally Championship leaders took time out of their busy schedule to come and meet company employees at our flagship depot in Charlton.

Chris Ingram travelled south from Manchester via Milton Keynes, where co-driver Elliott Edmondson is based, and the pair arrived in an Opel Adam similar to the car they use on the rallying circuit.

UK Operations Director, David Himsworth, was on hand to give both men a tour of the premises, offering them an insight into our day-to-day operations. This also enabled a broad spectrum of employees to finally meet Chris and Elliott almost eighteen months after their involvement with Andrews Heat for Hire began.

Ingram off to a flyer after Azores Rallye triumph

Chris Ingram made the perfect start to the ERC Junior U27 Championship at the weekend after a scintillating battle with Finnish team-mate Jari Huttunen.

The Mancunian led by 0.8 seconds ahead of the Azores Airlines Rallye’s final three stages but seemed to lose all momentum when technical difficulties began to set in.

Victory seemed certain to cruelly slip through Chris’ grasp at the eleventh hour after his Opel Adam lost power on the final morning of competition.

This paved the way for Huttunen to establish a seemingly insurmountable six second lead at the final run, before he too suffered some bad luck in the form of a driveshaft failure just 200 metres from the finish.
