What happened in Europe this month? – Valentine’s Edition

It’s the season of love, but we know that not everyone is a fan of Valentine’s Day. In some instances, self-care and personal growth must take priority. We’ve taken this somewhat literally in Belgium, with our progress in the region recently extending to opening a third depot in the country.

Our new property in Kortrijk gives us a wonderful platform from which to serve customers in the west of Belgium – as well as northern France – and we’re very confident that we’ll be able to make defining connections with a number of customers based in this expansive region. What’s been happening in Europe this month?

We knew last month had been a good one, but it has since come to light that it was our best December on record from a revenue perspective! Britain experienced snowfall, ice and bitter temperatures – and it’s fair to say our clients were cold. Although we didn’t have a choice in the weather, our loyal customers chose us to provide temporary heating units. We’ve always made it our target to provide a high level of service and deliver during sleet, snow, or shine, and that’s exactly what we did!

Latest depot opening highlights ongoing success in Italy

We are excited to announce that Nolo Climat now has a third premises – this time in Verona – following a substantial increase in business activity across northern Italy.

This region has been specifically chosen to support our existing depots in Verona and Milan, with the broad economic spectrum and a thriving industrial sector key influences behind the decision.

Since the opening and subsequent expansion of our Bologna depot, there has been a noticeable shift in demand for our hire services.

Given the rapid development of Verona in recent years, many companies have chosen to establish themselves here or nearby which has helped accelerate our growing reputation among an extensive customer base.

Data centre cooling package preserves network infrastructure at Mont Blanc Tunnel

Data centers are an integral part of every organisation’s business operations, housing critical information and disseminating it as required. Operating 24/7, their security and reliability must be constantly monitored in order to protect a company’s online activities.

In processing large amounts of data at exceptionally high speeds, these computing devices accumulate a significant amount of heat that must be removed from the vicinity. Hardware components rely primarily on fans for cooling, but the premises in which the equipment is installed must be kept at low temperature and at a specific humidity level.

Andrews Sykes Group invest in a new major depot in Milan

Following a substantial property investment by the Andrews Sykes Group, our Italian subsidiary Nolo Climat has moved into a new depot located in the suburbs of Milan. The move will enable the business to continue its remarkable growth since first opening in Italy just seven years ago.

The new facility sits on a huge 4,000m2 site and is located very close to our previous depot in the town of Parabiago. The warehouse and workshops can now easily accommodate the largest of our chiller range along with the small portable units.

Andrews Sykes open new Bologna depot to strengthen our presence in Italy

Andrews Sykes are pleased to announce the opening of a new depot in Bologna, Italy. This new location has been especially chosen by our subsidiary Nolo Climat to support future growth plans throughout Italy. Bologna is located in close proximity to important cities in Emilia Romagna, such as Modena, Ferrara, Ravenna, but will also to facilitate the connection with Florence, Venice, Rome and the South of Italy.

Strategically located near major road junctions and Bologna Airport G. Marconi, this new depot will provide a full range of services including the hire of air conditioning units, boilers, chillers, heaters and ventilation fans.
