Our electric heaters have been flying off the shelves in France this winter but, sometimes, you just need something slightly bigger!

Earlier in March, our colleagues at Andrews Climat Location were approached by one of the country’s largest civil engineering and construction companies – Eiffage – seeking a solution on behalf of their client.

The end user was a multinational technology organisation with a very prominent presence in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

Because of their rapid growth in recent years, the tech manufacturer was in the process of extending their site – and this is where the heating requirement came from.

High capacity heating arrangement aids hotel building fit-out

With a new hotel in Croydon said to be just a few months away from opening, the construction company responsible for the project turned to us for a temporary heating solution. Their requirement stemmed from the need to complete the interior fit-out as quickly as possible, which was being made more difficult by the unfavourably cold conditions.

Our client had arranged for various sub-contractors to visit the location and undertake timber works, joinery, plastering and floor laying, so it was critical that the temperature and humidity levels of the building were conducive to these tasks.

Long-term customer requests our drying expertise on school development

With the construction of a new school in the Midlands approaching its final stages, Andrews Heat for Hire was asked to assist the lead contractor – one of Britain’s largest housebuilding companies. Our client had completed all structural works prior to our involvement but sought a high capacity drying arrangement to accelerate the drying of wet trades on site.

This requirement specifically relates to concrete curing, plastering, painting, masonry and grouting, with temporary equipment likely to be needed for several weeks while the work was undertaken.
