It’s the season of love, but we know that not everyone is a fan of Valentine’s Day. In some instances, self-care and personal growth must take priority. We’ve taken this somewhat literally in Belgium, with our progress in the region recently extending to opening a third depot in the country.

Our new property in Kortrijk gives us a wonderful platform from which to serve customers in the west of Belgium – as well as northern France – and we’re very confident that we’ll be able to make defining connections with a number of customers based in this expansive region. What’s been happening in Europe this month?

We knew last month had been a good one, but it has since come to light that it was our best December on record from a revenue perspective! Britain experienced snowfall, ice and bitter temperatures – and it’s fair to say our clients were cold. Although we didn’t have a choice in the weather, our loyal customers chose us to provide temporary heating units. We’ve always made it our target to provide a high level of service and deliver during sleet, snow, or shine, and that’s exactly what we did!

Scorching French temperatures set to arrive on British shores

The European heatwave overwhelming much of the continent has shown no sign of letting up, with France hitting its highest recorded temperature of 45.1⁰C in the southern town of Carpentras.

This scorching thermometer reading surpassed the previous highest of 44.1⁰C in 2003 and could yet be broken again, with high atmospheric pressure expected to continue drawing hot air from northern Africa.

With conditions as they are, it will come as no surprise to hear that our engineers have been working around the clock to help people beat the European heat!

Our Marseille depot is now officially open

We are pleased to announce the opening of a new depot in Marseille as we continue developing our business in France. A rising demand for our services across the country combined with the development of many fast-growing relationships with clients have compelled us to seek an appropriate base from which to serve the South of France.

The new depot will allow us to prioritise our service in Marseille and the surrounding areas and help us respond effectively to a widening requirement for our assistance.

Andrews Air Conditioning set to unveil football-themed infographics

Europe’s most prestigious international football tournament commences on Friday amidst much anticipation from the majority of the continent! Football fever will once again sweep the globe, with hundreds of millions of spectators expected to tune in and find out which of the twenty-four nations will emerge triumphant in France.

And we at Andrews Air Conditioning will be keeping a close eye on proceedings to see which of the tournament’s ‘hot prospects’ perform best on the big stage. As such, we’ll be producing a series of comparative infographics to analyse the contributions of various up-and-coming players throughout the month-long competition.

Andrews Sykes’ English employees take on European co-workers in annual football match

On Saturday 14^th May, an Andrews Sykes “European” team descended upon The Valley where they faced their British colleagues in what has become a traditional footballing encounter between members of staff.

The visitors’ squad comprised of Dutch, Italian and French participants while players for the hosts were flown in from as far afield as Glasgow! Boasting a former professional among their ranks, the home side were confident of a victory that has frustratingly eluded them ever since the first encounter took place in 2013.

Paris depot doubles in size following successful year

Andrews Sykes are delighted to announce the expansion of our Paris branch after an extraordinarily successful twelve months in the French capital. Despite only opening a depot in the region towards the end of 2014, the company has enjoyed a sharp upsurge in business during the period and subsequently took the decision to obtain extra space – thereby more than doubling the size of our facility.

Our emerging presence in the city allows us to guarantee customers faster response times while continuing to accommodate a growing demand for our services. These modern facilities provide us with a fantastic base in the area and this has been coupled with the acquisition of new environmentally-friendly delivery vehicles.
