School back in session thanks to boiler hire from Andrews Sykes

Our schools lie at the very centre of our local communities, providing vital education and childcare which allows working parents to earn a living. This was put in jeopardy when recent heavy rain forced a primary school to close after its plant room flooded.

The school’s basement plant room had filled with 1.5 metres of water, submerging the boiler plant and other critical infrastructure like lighting and power systems. With no functional boilers, the school had no heating, hot water, or lighting – making it impossible to open safely to students.

One of West Yorkshire’s largest teaching hospitals had plans of building a three-storey building extension in order to accommodate new paediatric and geriatric units. Two well-known construction companies were subsequently drafted in to complete the project.
