Sykes Pumps extend commercial agreement with Ebbsfleet United

After working closely with Ebbsfleet United for a number of years, it is with great delight that Sykes Pumps announce the continuation of our partnership for the 2016-17 season.

We have watched the club’s development with great interest and hope the upcoming campaign will lead to the promotion they were so unlucky to miss out on in May.

In addition to the undoubted on-pitch progress, we at Sykes Pumps have been excited to see the first stages of redevelopment at Stonebridge Road. A new £5 million main stand is due to be unveiled during the course of the season and marks the first phase of a stadium renovation expected to cost in the region of £8million.

Sykes Pumps sponsor Ebbsfleet United in crunch play-off showdown

After narrowly missing out on automatic promotion to the National League, Daryl McMahon’s side won 2-1 against Whitehawk in the play-off semi-final first leg.

The reverse fixture on Sunday was played out in front of 1,942 fans at Stonebridge Road, with the Fleet requiring only a draw in order to reach the final. However, the visitors led 2-1 after 90 minutes of edge-of-the-seat action which ultimately preceded a tense but scoreless period of extra-time. Fortunately, the Ebbsfleet players kept their nerve best in the ensuing shoot-out which now sets up an intriguing all-Kent final against Maidstone United.
