The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has created unprecedented challenges, as the world struggles to prevent the loss of life, support health services and stabilise economies. In the UK, an inevitable rise of confirmed cases has led to huge numbers being admitted to hospitals, putting unfathomable pressure on our overburdened NHS. It has been truly humbling to witness the lengths our incredible frontline workers have gone to during these difficult times, with their selfless acts rightly commended nationally by the tens of millions of people who are grateful for their tireless contributions.

The healthcare sector has rightly been praised for its resoluteness in recent weeks and is one of many industries that has had no option but to carry on during these unparalleled times.

Key workers are defined as people whose jobs are vital to public health and safety, with the Government ensuring that they are able to carry out their responsibilities with as little restriction as possible. Portable air conditioner helps Swiss chef produce chocolate for medical staff

With lockdown restrictions in place across much of Europe while the continent attempts to contain the COVID-19 epidemic, one man in Switzerland focused his energy on spreading some kindness within his community.

Samuel Müller – a pastry chef from Neuchâtel – used his culinary skills to help bring joy to others after finding himself temporarily unemployed due to the closure of the restaurant he works at. A desire to do something positive in the face of adversity prompted Samuel to manufacture large quantities of homemade chocolate with the intention of delivering the goods to people working at local hospitals.

We are continuing to follow Government directives relating to the COVID-19 virus and we are taking the necessary actions to provide our staff and customers with the best solutions to the changing situation. Although many of our staff are now working from home, we are still ensuring that emergency and urgent deliveries can be carried out as safely as possible.

Andrews Sykes provides hire solutions to many essential services including: the health sector, communications networks, water industry, emergency services and many more. We will prioritise these services at all times.

Our depots are currently able to provide a service across the whole of the UK. Inbound calls are being answered promptly and all enquiries are being handled in the normal way. We have large stocks of air conditioners, heaters, pumps and dehumidifiers available for hire, along with specialist boilers and chillers for larger applications. read more

We are continuing to observe the latest developments relating to the COVID-19 virus and are taking the necessary actions to provide our staff and customers with the best solutions to the changing situation. Many of our staff are now working from home and we are ensuring that deliveries and site visits are carried out as safely as possible.

Our depots are currently able to provide a level of service across the whole of the UK. Inbound calls are being answered promptly and all enquiries are being handled in the normal way. We have large stocks of air conditioners, heaters, pumps and dehumidifiers available for hire, along with specialist boilers and chillers for larger applications.
