Emergency boiler hire keeps navy base operational

When one of the country’s most prominent naval bases suffered a leak on their district mains system, the facilities management company responsible for the site contacted us in search of an emergency boiler hire solution.

The client became aware of our services some time ago after our local territory sales manager visited site to promote our contingency planning capabilities. Andrews provide short-term boiler rental for local town hall

At Andrews Boilers, we take pride in providing our customers with vital heating amenities in the event of a system failure. So, when an existing boiler system was struggling to maintain a desirable temperature inside a local town hall, our specialists were contacted and asked to provide equipment to improve conditions.

A short-term boiler rental was urgently required in the absence of a fixed system to ensure all staff were kept comfortable and productive during the busy Christmas period.

After a site visit had been carried out, our recommendation was to supply the client with a 100kW gas boiler supplied with a natural gas burner and various lengths of hosing which was placed through the back window of the building’s plant room.

Andrews Boilers keep healthcare residential unit functional during refurbishment project

The largest healthcare service in England had plans of undergoing an extensive extension and refurbishment project. However, before this could take place, a temporary boiler was required to provide the residential unit with constant heating while the boiler house underwent a re-fit.

Following an urgent call out, an Andrews engineer visited the location and recommended a 250kW boiler hire unit complete with temporary pipe work.

Logistical problems and a lack of space on the active site made it infeasible to station the temporary boiler near the existing boiler house. Our solution was to position the boiler a short distance away, providing the client with additional hose runs to connect to the existing flow and return stabbings.

British Army harness horse power to produce renewable energy

With more and more organisations now seeking environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional power sources, the British Army have also taken the unprecedented step of using horse power to produce renewable energy.

Andrews Boilers were directly involved in aiding the transition to a biomass scheme by connecting a 250kW boiler to the client’s plate heat exchanger. The heat produced was then used against the cooling system to check operational performance – a vital phase in the process.

This test was necessary to ascertain effectiveness ahead of a fully-fledged power plant being commissioned, with the project overseen by one of the UK’s largest regeneration specialists. Our client had anticipated using the waste of up to 150 horses to produce energy, and these are stabled in Woolwich.
