When one of the most historic hotels in Hertfordshire was at risk of temporarily closing its doors due to a major refurbishment project, Andrews Boilers were urgently called in to offer their expert advice.

The hotel in question is wholly committed to ensuring their guests are provided with the highest standard of service – failure to provide this can tarnish a visitor’s experience and in turn and the hotel’s long-standing reputation.

Andrews Boilers keep healthcare residential unit functional during refurbishment project

The largest healthcare service in England had plans of undergoing an extensive extension and refurbishment project. However, before this could take place, a temporary boiler was required to provide the residential unit with constant heating while the boiler house underwent a re-fit.

Following an urgent call out, an Andrews engineer visited the location and recommended a 250kW boiler hire unit complete with temporary pipe work.

Logistical problems and a lack of space on the active site made it infeasible to station the temporary boiler near the existing boiler house. Our solution was to position the boiler a short distance away, providing the client with additional hose runs to connect to the existing flow and return stabbings.

Major Amsterdam hospital reopens after catastrophic flood

In late September 2015, former Dutch politician Wouter Bos officially reopened one of Amsterdam’s principal hospitals which had been devastated by flooding earlier in the month.  The rupturing of a high pressure water main close to the facility had necessitated its immediate closure, and this led to a total of 339 patients having to be relocated.

With a quick response essential and medical operations now at a standstill, Andrews Boilers were contacted to restore heating and hot water supplies as swiftly as possible. A pressing need for temporary installations was brought about by all on-site electrical equipment being deemed unsafe for use.
