Italy

In Italy, our colleagues at Nolo Climat have finally let one of our newest players off the bench to make their debut. We are of course referring to our new submersible pumps, and it is with great delight that we announce that some of these are now out on hire! Quite fittingly, a sporting association needed to move water from one pond to another, prompting an enquiry and our first official pump order.

What to do when the heating stops working?

Have you been in a situation where your heat source has suddenly stopped working, or you’ve reached a certain stage of a project before realising that a heating requirement had just slipped your mind?

As construction managers and events planners know all too well, deadlines tend to be tight, and meeting them can be made even more challenging by a range of factors. Although the weather is getting colder, we still regularly receive enquiries from clients who have overlooked their need for heating. It happens a lot more than you think!

Indirect Fired Oil Heater – The Aurora FH 4000

Indirect fired oil heaters are refined, reliable, and ready-to-use heaters and quite rightly sit among the most popular units in our range. They are ideal for places where there is limited ventilation, or where people are present, as they deliver huge volumes of clean, dry, fume and noise-free heat safely and economically.

The Aurora FH 4000 is a high-capacity oil-fired heater delivering capacities of up to 383kW from a single unit. This fully portable heater is capable of 92% fuel efficiency when functioning at full capacity, which is what makes it so popular with clients. Each unit comes complete with an integrated thermostat, with the resultant fuel conservation allowing significant cost savings of up to 20%.

Italy

Our Italian branch, Nolo Climat, has been showing its passion for fashion by maintaining momentum from their work at the Milan fashion week in September. Our specialists in Italy proposed a heating solution for an exclusive footwear brand’s showroom, in one of the most exclusive locations in Milan. After a thorough inspection of the building, our FH185 DV models were identified as the optimal heating solution for the showroom and surrounding spaces. Four heaters will remain on site until December, along with diesel tanks that are equipped with a remote level management system that allows fuel levels to be viewed through a mobile app.

A great sign of good business is repeat customers, and we pride ourselves on delivering an effective service that satisfies customers to the extent that they don’t wish to look anywhere else!

Last week, we received an enquiry from an installation board company that also contacted us at the same time last year seeking a high-capacity heating solution for their warehouses.

Clearly, our client values their employees just as much as we do, and they did everything in their power to ensure staff would not feel the nip in the air this autumn!

National food outlet seeks tailored heating replacement

In a lot of cases, simply delivering and installing temporary hire equipment will sufficiently address whatever problem our customer has encountered. However, more complicated issues require a greater degree of intuition – and that’s where our highly proficient engineers come in.

Earlier this week, we received a query from a well-known food retailer after their heating system stopped functioning. Our client was looking to restore warm temperatures inside their store, but was reluctant to deploy electric heaters on the shop floor due concerns over them being potential tripping hazards.

Andrews Heat for Hire keeps shoppers warm at new retail store

A popular international retail chain opened another of its stores in Bristol last week, amidst much anticipation from those living nearby. Local news outlets reported that crowds of eager shoppers had assembled ahead of the grand opening – and we played our part in ensuring that all went according to plan!

The premises in question had previously been occupied by a well-known electronic hardware company and was thus significantly larger than most of our customer’s other stores in Bristol. Because of this, their internal HVAC system needed to be more powerful than those typically found in smaller outlets.

High capacity heating arrangement aids hotel building fit-out

With a new hotel in Croydon said to be just a few months away from opening, the construction company responsible for the project turned to us for a temporary heating solution. Their requirement stemmed from the need to complete the interior fit-out as quickly as possible, which was being made more difficult by the unfavourably cold conditions.

Our client had arranged for various sub-contractors to visit the location and undertake timber works, joinery, plastering and floor laying, so it was critical that the temperature and humidity levels of the building were conducive to these tasks.

Andrews teams up with CACT to execute Stay Warm, Stay Safe programme

Winter can be a particularly daunting time for some of our community’s most vulnerable people, with the imminent soaring of energy prices likely to make the season even more challenging going forward.

That’s why we are proud to once again be working alongside the Charlton Athletic Community Trust to positively influence the lives of those who desperately require assistance.

Commissioned by the Royal Borough of Greenwich, the annual Stay Warm Stay Safe campaign has one primary objective – to help the less fortunate members of society by heating their homes while cold weather persists.

Former RAF airport seeks temporary heating for hangar

Before a newly constructed aircraft hangar could be deemed ready for use, the lead contractor had to ensure that flooring was properly laid to facilitate the storage of planes. Although seemingly a straightforward process in principle, extra care and attention must be paid to guarantee the floor could handle the intense load of aircraft weighing several dozen tonnes.

To achieve this a special resin is chemically fixed to the substrate beneath, which enables it to withstand sustained vehicular traffic and general abrasion. During the application process, temperatures must be maintained at approximately 15⁰C. This can present quite a challenge due to the sheer size of a typical hangar – and this is where we come in!
