When our customers site required comprehensive drainage maintenance, they turned to Sykes Pumps for a reliable and efficient solution. The project involved providing temporary overpumping for various areas of the site, including loading bays, while discharging to the on-site water treatment plant.

Our engineers swiftly responded with a tailored approach, deploying four 6″ Super Wispa pumps equipped with deep sea panels and float switches. These fully automatic, self-priming pumps were strategically installed, with their start/stop operation controlled via float switch operation. To facilitate the operation, we provided five road ramps, suction hoses and strainers, and over 100 lengths of 6″ discharge pipework, including bends and fittings.

When a major sewer line burst in Phear Park, Exmouth, the situation called for an immediate, large-scale response. The client required a substantial quantity of 12-inch pipework to be delivered and installed as quickly as possible to facilitate the critical overpumping operation.

At Sykes Pumps, we’re known for our expertise in providing efficient and reliable equipment for emergency situations. And because of this, we sprang into action without delay. Within the same day, our team organised the delivery of the required 500 meters of 12-inch pipework, shuttling it to the site using both the client’s and our own vehicles. This swift mobilisation was essential in ensuring the client could commence the overpumping process without delay.

When heavy rains brought sudden flooding, we received an urgent call from a loyal customer needing emergency equipment. Despite the last-minute notice, our team immediately shifted into crisis response mode. We know that during flooding, every minute counts.

We swiftly coordinated with our engineers in the local depot location to organise flood kits that included heaters, dehumidifiers, and ventilation fans. In the meantime, our delivery driver safely raced to collect them. Our driver navigated adverse conditions to deliver the units just two hours after the initial call came in.
