The project surfaced following the breakdown of their fixed cooling system, which occurred during the peak of summer and necessitated the urgent provision of replacement equipment.

The facilities manager was tasked with providing cooling equipment for a large commercial building housing up to 100 staff  on each floor. An Andrews technician was sent to site to conduct a survey to propose and install a high-volume cooling solution that would successfully reduce temperatures inside the building.

So when our client suffered a chiller failure the day before they were expected to accommodate a highly publicised seminar, they contacted our specialists in search of an emergency cooling arrangement that would successfully provide adequate cooling for up to 1,000 guests.

Our experts provided practical advice to cool the area in question – deciding that the best course of action was to install six PAC22 split-type air conditioners. These units would have the internal unit inside the seminar hall while connected to the external heat exchangers on the balcony via small opening windows.

Cooling For Broadcaster Server Room

Server rooms, IT apparatus and communication facilities are all designed for continuous operation, but internal factors can sometimes contrive to cause disruption. Ineffective climate control is one of the most common contributors to servers and vital electrical equipment breaking down, and if this isn’t addressed quickly there can be crippling consequences. So when a TV broadcasting company suffered chiller failure in one of their main communication rooms, an immediate solution was sought. A business-critical IT system went offline as a result of soaring temperatures, which led to the client contacting Andrews Air Conditioning via their facilities manager. The call came out of hours – at 9:30pm – but we were still able to deliver replacement cooling units to the building and ensure productivity was restored.
