Andrews Air Conditioning has provided an air conditioning hire solution to a world leading production company currently filming a new blockbuster super hero film at Pinewood Studios. The two PAC 15 portable air conditioners supplied are stylish water – cooled ‘Split’ portable air conditioners. Pinewood Studios is the home of world class film, television and commercial production facilities. The Studios’ facilities are used for major national and international film production, filmed television, studio television recording, the filming of commercials and post production sound services.

With the exceptionally high temperatures experienced over the Formula 1 British Grand Prix weekend, Andrews Air Conditioning came to the rescue of the organisers by providing additional cooling equipment for vital areas in double quick time. The public Medical Centre was exceptionally busy dealing with members of the viewing public suffering with sun burn and heat exhaustion in the blistering temperatures. Andrews Air Conditioning came to the rescue by installing a PAC 22 unit to maintain a comfortable working temperature for the medical staff and patients.

When the boiler broke down at Queen Mary House, a purpose-built retirement home for women administered by the Schoolmistresses & Governesses Benevolent Institution, Andrews Sykes responded with a rapid heater hire solution comprising of 20 x 2kW convector heaters.

The SGBI is a charity founded in 1843 and incorporated by Royal Charter. The Home provides spacious accommodation in pleasant surroundings. Originally restricted to retired schoolmistresses and governesses, it now offers accommodation to a wider range of like-minded applicants including those requiring short-term respite care.

Andrews Air Conditioning have installed ten ASF 50 Variable Speed Fans at this week’s The Times CEO Summit at the London County Hall. The prime minister set out his three-step plan for ‘rebooting’ Britain at the Summit to over 100 leading chief executives. Organised by The Times this week, it was striking just how much goodwill the new Government enjoys from business, particularly in areas such as taxation and the urgent need to tackle the deficit.

When a leading multinational bank’s chiller unit broke down last week, Andrews Sykes Air Conditioning were on site with 8 PAC 22 room units installed and working within 4 hours! Martyn Day, a member of our nationwide surveyor team was onsite at 2pm to complete a site survey and by 5pm all the necessary equipment was on site.

The PAC 22 is one of our larger and more powerful stylish water – cooled ‘Split’ portable air conditioners. With the PAC 22 the smaller condenser unit can be placed up to 30 meters from the room unit.

The Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts, commonly abbreviated to Glastonbury or Glasto, is the largest open-air music and performing arts festival in the world! Andrews Sykes Group is pleased to announce their financial results for the year 2009, which has proved to be another successful year. Annual Reports & Financial Statements have been distributed to shareholders and full details can be viewed on our Investor relation’s page.

Despite the worldwide economic downturn, we can report that the group achieved a normalised operating profit* of £12.9 million for 2009 which is £5 million lower than 2008. It should be remembered that last year was a record for our group and the current year’s performance is broadly comparable with the results achieved in 2007 during positive yearly economic growth. Keeping Commuters Cool

Andrews Air Conditioning Services have carried out important air conditioning maintenance at two of London’s busiest and oldest train stations.

The vital equipment is located on the stations’ concourses, in administration offices, plant rooms and alongside the train tracks. The customer was so impressed with the standard of our workmanship, they are considering converting the project into a quarterly planned air conditioning maintenance regime.
