Sykes Pumps aid major demolition project
Sykes general purpose range of pumps are naturally the first choice for an array of applications, handling everything from clean water to sludge and slurry. In this instance, the temporary pumps were being used for a major demolition project.
The contractor overseeing the scheme contacted us in search of an immediate pumping hire solution after the building’s basement flooded with water during necessary excavation work.
After assessing the site and considering the customer’s requirements, our specialists proposed a 4” Sykes GP 100M general purpose pump to remove unwanted groundwater from the excavation – discharging it more than thirty metres away into the nearest manhole.
The expertise of our local engineer was appreciated and enabled all works to be completed on time. Failure to supply the right equipment would have caused significant delays to the project.
