A large marquee company based in Hereford required emergency temporary heating for a prestige showground event in Worcestershire. The marquee on site held sizeable crowds during a cold snap in February, and thus needed a suitable heat source to keep guests warm.
Andrews Heat for Hire was contacted to provide an adequate solution, with low outdoor temperatures necessitating a quick response. Twelve IG 60 indirect gas-fired heaters were delivered and installed, with hot air ducted from outside the canvas and into the tent’s interior. These models were specifically chosen because they are very economical, quiet in operation and fully portable.
One of our technicians instructed the client on how to adjust the temperature via a thermostat, ensuring a comfortable environment throughout the event’s duration. Twelve units were found to sufficiently heat the marquee and keep all visitors warm while present.
The client was impressed with Andrews’ reaction to the problem, as our heating package allowed the event to continue as scheduled – despite bad weather.
