Our latest HS2 Viaduct ventilation project

The deafening sound of jackhammers and welding torches echo through the dimly lit tunnel below the Colne Valley Viaduct, which stretches for approximately two miles between Hillingdon and the M25. Sparks fly as construction crews work tirelessly on the generational HS2 project that will soon connect London to Birmingham.

Our team has been brought in for a critical mission – to provide proper ventilation that will keep hundreds of site workers breathing easy. Four of our high-capacity FV1800 units were rushed to the site on Monday, with their adjustable airflows and amperage rendering them perfect for this particular purpose.

In the absence of appropriate ventilation, the cramped space can quickly fill with exhaust fumes and other pollutants which would cause issues for the crew. Our units are the only line of defence, driving in large volumes of fresh air while simultaneously extracting potentially dangerous toxins. The construction teams rely on us as they inch forward on the project that never sleeps. Luckily, neither do we!

Ventilation ducts are drilled and mounted securely in place before the units roar to life, delivering a constant supply of clean air within the confines of the tunnels. Workers can focus on the task at hand, thanks to our units’ raw power and versatility.

We take pride that our ventilation expertise is playing a part in keeping the HS2 development on track, and this is far from our first involvement with the project! The longest viaduct in the UK is counting on us – and we’re ready for the challenge!
