Land Drainage
With the exceptionally dry weather during March and April, you would not expect that flooding would be a problem currently, but that was exactly what happened when a bearing failed on a large screw pump. The pump was designed to control the water levels on marshlands, protecting farms and local villages and the failure was a major concern as the water level was rising beyond the safe limits. The contractor concerned rang Sykes Pumps knowing that we would be able to help in the very short time frame available.
Less than an hour after delivering a 12” Sykes Super Silent Pump, together with quick coupling hoses, to this site the danger was averted.
With over 150 years of experience in dealing with problems like this – it’s easy to understand why our customers rely on us in the most difficult of situations.
