Ingram heads to the Azores for season’s opener
The 2017 European Rally Championship begins this week, with Chris Ingram ready to compete in the Rallye Azores alongside Opel codriver Elliott Edmondson.
And the 22-year-old Mancunian will be looking to build on his impressive record on the Portuguese island which comprises of a victory and two second place finishes in three appearance on the Junior circuit.
An untimely puncture at the corresponding event last year added 40 seconds to Chris’ eventual finishing time, dropping him from first to second position after stage 8.
Ingram was bullish about his chances this time around, citing his familiarity with the Adam R2 car that he will once again be competing in this season.
He said: “I have a year’s worth of experience with the incredible Adam R2 on challenging European events and I’m confident I can put my knowledge to good use with Elliott alongside again in 2017.”
The Azores will be Chris’ first event since extending his sponsorship agreement with Andrews Heat for Hire, with our branding prominently featured on both his race suit and car.
Everyone at the company would like to wish Chris the very best of luck and hope he gets off to a flying start ahead of the second round at Rally Islas Canarias in May.
