When one of the UK’s oldest bath manufacturers underwent a major site revamp, a serious construction error left premises without hot water and heating. It was intended for parts of the factory deemed surplus to requirements to be carefully demolished, but workmen on the site inadvertently cut through a gas main while carrying out this process.
Although our client was downsizing on a fairly significant scale, there were still several people based in the building who were dependent on this basic facility being provided. At this juncture, Andrews Boilers were contacted with a solution desired as quickly as one could feasibly be installed.
Our response was to deliver a 250kW mobile boiler coupled with a 3000L fuel tank to ensure it could operate continuously while unattended. This particular unit was selected because the site in question was extremely compact, making it difficult to position into place (a larger unit could not have been accommodated).
Once connected to the customer’s existing pipe network, the boiler did exactly what was expected throughout the time it was on hire. On hand over of the temporary boiler an Andrews technician helped train the staff based in the vicinity on all operational aspects of the temporary boiler.
