Chris Ingram prepared for career-defining fortnight

Britain’s leading driver Chris Ingram has indicated that he has never felt better on the eve of his first foreign World Rally Championship event.

The 22-year-old Mancunian is set to compete in the Rallye Deutschland between the 18th – 21st August before making his way to the Czech Republic – for Round 5 of the European Junior Rally Championship.

Following our sponsorship announcement earlier in the month, Chris will be back behind the wheel of an Andrews Heat for Hire-branded Opel Adam R2. More than 200,000 spectators are estimated to watch events unfold trackside in Germany, with BT Sport and Channel 4 also broadcasting the three-day contest to an audience of several million people.

Reflecting on the progress made so far, Chris said: “It has been an incredible season so far and I hope to carry this momentum through these two huge events.

“I will aim to finish on the podium in Germany as it is my first time there, however it will be tough against a very strong R2 field where our Opel team will face competition from works Peugeots and the DMACK Fords.

“I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported me and helped me get to this stage, including my partners Opel Motorsport and Andrews Sykes.”

The company would like to wish Chris the best of luck in his upcoming races and extend our good will to his entire team. His remarkable progress this season has been underlined by a phenomenal 11-point lead in European Junior Rally Championships, and we hope he enjoys even more success over the next two weeks.
