Andrews Sykes sponsor charity concert in London
To conclude a very busy week for Andrews Sykes Hire we were at the IndigO2 Arena in Greenwich last night, as proud sponsors of a charity fundraising concert. Pop rock back Lawson headlined the event which was attended by a handful of Charlton footballers, and radio presenter Dave Berry.
The purpose of the concert was to raise money for Help a Capital Child, and the Charlton Athletic Community Trust. An auction preceded the main event, where lots included a signed England football shirt – which fetched £550.
Charlton defender Richard Wood said on the night: “I love doing charity events like this, and make sure I get involved as often as I can.
“It’s good to give something back to the community. We go to hospitals and schools all the time – I took a PE lesson at one the other day! It was brilliant.”
Andrews Sykes Hire ran a host of competitions prior to the evening, with lucky winners getting the opportunity to meet Lawson band members and Charlton players. Attendees clearly enjoyed their night and dug deep into their pockets to ensure money was raised for two fantastic causes in the local area. More news on the event and the total sum raised will be announced in the next few days.
