Blast furnace in North-East requires substitute pump
At Sykes Pumps, we pride ourselves on delivering bespoke pump solutions tailored to the precise requirements of our clients. From transporting slurry or wastewater to installing replacement fire systems during a period of maintenance, our broad range of equipment ensures that every demand can be accommodated.
Recently, a customer based in North Yorkshire approached us in search of a temporary pump following the failure of their installed unit, which provided water under pressure to support their manufacturing process. A site survey revealed that downtime was likely unless an alternative unit was delivered immediately.
It was decided that a Sykes UVO 200/150F high head pump would be the ideal unit to replace the pump that had failed. Following prompt delivery and a complex installation the Sykes hire pump was fully functional later the same day.
This solution worked perfectly, to the delight of the customer, and remained in place until essential repairs had been carried out.
