Andrews Sykes New Charlton Depot Officially Opened

The opening of the new Charlton depot last week proved to be a major success as guests of honour, Judo Olympic Silver medallist Gemma Gibbons and Charlton Football Manager Chris Powell, officially opened the depot.

Customers who attended the opening as well as local media, watched as Managing Director Paul Wood, Gemma Gibbons and Chris Powell cut the ribbon to officially open the new Charlton depot. Staff and guests then watched in delight as Gemma showcased her Silver Olympic medal answering questions as Chris Powell signed football shirts for members of staff and customers.

The event concluded at Charlton Football ground as a Question & Answer session took place with Gemma and Chris sharing their experiences gained throughout their awe-inspiring careers. Both Chris and Gemma happily stated they would look forward to working with Andrews Sykes again should the opportunity arise. Gemma in particular wrote wonderful tweets about the company on Twitter, stating “everyone was so lovely & welcoming” and Andrews Sykes “seems like a fab company to be part of” and “had a family feel”

Andrews Sykes are very proud to continue growing as a successful business in Charlton as Managing Director of Andrews Sykes Paul Wood says “Charlton has been the home of one or more parts of our business for over 80 years. We are immensely proud of our new depot and we want to ensure that people would remember the day as being a special moment for our company”
