Staff at the Andrews Sykes Charlton depot have begun moving to the new premises at Peninsular Park this week. After months of construction work at the site, the depot is now complete and ready for business.
The new depot has superior facilities inside and out from large stylish kitchen areas, a 36 metre mezzanine floor, to huge acoustic canopies and the biggest pumping area in the company. Installation of new I.T systems and security systems as well as state-of-the-art equipment for the call centre and meeting rooms undoubtedly makes this depot the most modern and impressive depot in the Andrews Sykes Group.
Nigel Gill, Operations Support Director, says “every effort has been made to build in the latest facilities to meet current and future needs for the business whilst having regard to environmental impact”. This includes the construction of the largest test well in the company which has a revised drainage system that has both fuel and silt interceptors, a massive engineering achievement for the company. The building has also been completely soundproofed ensuring a peaceful environment inside from work taking place in the workshop and yard.
With such impressive and modern facilities at the new depot, staff at Charlton are excited with the office move and look forward to working at the new premises.
