Dehumidification hire salvages leisure centre renovation scheme

Andrews Sykes was recently contacted by a construction and restoration company requiring assistance with the refurbishment of a leisure centre based in Exeter. Suffering from severe water ingress and moisture issues within various parts of the building, the contractor urgently sought equipment that would contain the extent of any water damage suffered. If a solution could not be quickly sourced, the client would have fallen behind on the project and incurred higher costs as a result.

Once contact had been established with Andrews, our regional expert visited site to conduct a thorough assessment of the leisure centre’s affected areas. By doing this, we were able to ratify that there would be no further complications which allowed us to decisively propose the correct hire solution.

To combat the issue effectively, three of our FD40 dehumidifiers were installed later that same day. These specialist building dryers are extremely popular among customers due to their high extraction rates, with a combination of three units calculated to provide sufficient drying capacity in relation to this particular application.

The equipment we proposed was assisted by the client’s own heating products to accelerate drying times and maintain a satisfactory level of relative humidity. Although the drying system was simple in terms of its deployment and operation, our customer was delighted with its impact and the service we provided – which included a regional technician revisiting site frequently to ensure everything was working as intended.
