Andrews Boilers save concrete batching plant from freezing conditions

Concrete batching is a process that combines various ingredients to form concrete. As this process usually takes place on a large open site, freezing weather conditions can dramatically affect the batching process. Low temperatures can cause quality issues with the process water that is added to the ready mixed concrete. Therefore Andrews Boiler Hire were contacted to provide a solution. It was decided that a 100kW packaged boiler would be delivered onto the site for an 8 week period, until the cold spell was over.

The boiler was supplied along with complete temporary pipework, booster pump and heat exchanger. The batching process was able to continue via the heat exchanger which was heated to the required temperature and then pumped to the batching plant. As the site remained operational throughout the hire, Andrews Boilers managed to ensure the company did not let any of their customers down. Consequentially they placed a further three orders with Andrews Boilers showing how pleased they were with the service provided.
