As Official Suppliers to British Rowing, Andrews Air Conditioning has been providing the GB Rowing Team with temporary climate control solutions since 2014.
This summer, athletes from the women’s squad have reaped the benefits of our services and been kept cool throughout a gruelling training regime at their base in southern France.
The World Rowing Championships take place in Bulgaria next month and both the women’s and men’s squads are entirely focused on the sport’s biggest event this calendar year.
And while the weather in the UK may have cooled slightly as we approach the end of August, temperatures in Le Temple-sur-Lot – where the women’s team are currently training – reach 35°C most days.
Paul Thompson, Chief Coach for the women’s squad, said: “Thanks to Andrews, our rowers have been able to train and recover in an ideal training environment out here in France.
“Recovery between training sessions and overnight is one of the most important things for elite sportspeople. What Andrews Air Conditioning provides to us is a huge advantage as we prepare for this year’s World Championships.”
We’re delighted to see the positive impact our equipment has had on one of the country’s most revered sports teams and look forward to seeing whether they can emulate the fantastic medal tally set in Florida last year.
