With overwhelmingly hot conditions making Charlton’s gymnasium and indoor training facilities uncomfortably hot for players during their pre-season workouts, an air conditioning solution was required to help restore temperatures to a more comfortable level.
The players were undergoing various fitness tests at their Eltham training ground, with a cooler environment required to ensure their schedules were not impacted in any way.
A club representative contacted us to explain the problem before an expert from our local depot visited the training ground to assess which equipment would be most suitable. After assessing the size of the areas in which cooling was required, it was decided that three PAC 22 split type air conditioning units would be ideal for the application and quickly address the stuffy environment.
Following our proposal, the equipment was delivered later the same day and strategically installed at locations that allowed heat exchangers to be positioned the other side of available doors and windows. This permitted the hot air to be removed from inside via the external unit, reducing temperatures almost instantly once operational.
The club was delighted with our quick response which meant that almost thirty members of the squad were able to jog on treadmills, cycle on exercise bikes and lift weights without being affected by seasonal heat.
