Ingram wins yet another trophy in front of Wales Rally GB competition winners

Earlier this month, Andrews Heat for Hire teamed up with Chris Ingram to offer our customers, staff and social media followers the chance to win tickets to the Wales Rally GB at Cholmondeley Castle.

A number of winners were selected at random prior to the event and descended upon Cheshire this weekend to witness the action up close from a designated VIP hospitality area.

Billed as the largest and most high-profile motor rally on these shores, the Wales Rally GB is a round on the FIA World Rally Championship – attracting more than 100,000 visitors this year alone.

HVAC contractor seeks chiller hire for London retail and office development

When one of the UK’s largest mechanical and electrical service companies was tasked with providing cooling for a well-known retail and office development in the heart of London, Andrews Chillers were brought in to carry out the project.

The emergency call to our specialists came following an air conditioning breakdown in one of the building’s retail units. Following an extensive site survey, our specialists delivered and installed one of our 30kW temporary chillers along with two 15kW air handler units which were placed inside the retail unit. This solution gave staff and customers the benefit of a constant supply of cool air.

Andrews Heat for Hire successfully protect wheat during harvest

Andrews Heat for Hire was recently contacted by the operators of a 2000-acre farm in Shrewsbury, who were having difficulties drying their wheat naturally and so required a hired drying solution to minimise the likelihood of spoilage.

During harvest season, UK farms are often affected by severe weather and wet conditions – with many farmers struggling to dry their crop which then results in a poor quality of grain. In this instance, a heating solution was necessary to ensure all crops were dry and ready for distribution.

Andrews Chiller Hire assists with the production of the world’s most popular high-speed diesel engines

One of the world’s leading aeronautical engineers encountered a major problem with their production line when their cooling system lost productivity. As a result, Andrews Chillers were contacted and asked to install a temporary chiller system that would enable the production of engines to remain consistent with normal output levels.

Following an assessment by one of our qualified engineers, our solution was to provide a chiller hire package which consisted of a 200kW Fluid Chiller, a plate heat exchanger and a circulation pump – in order to restore functionality to the customer’s existing cooling system.

Andrews Air Conditioning Hire keep leading blood and transplantation service functional

Andrews Air Conditioning Hire were recently contacted by one of the UK’s leading blood and transplantation services after their centre experienced a chiller breakdown.

The company in question manage the donation, storage and transplantation of blood, organs, tissues, bone marrow and stems cells. It is absolutely imperative that blood is stored correctly to prevent the blood from expiring and because of this, an emergency cooling solution was needed to bring temperatures below 20 °C.

Our specialists conducted a contingency survey approximately one year ago, to ensure we were prepared in the event of such a failure. The hire package that was then deployed consisted of eight PACC 22 air conditioning units, and these were delivered to site the same day ahead of installation.

Ingram crowned double champion after scintillating display in Latvia

Chris Ingram sealed the ERC Junior U27 Championship title at the weekend following a breath-taking performance at Rally Liepāja. The British driver had established a lead with just three stages remaining and successfully maintained his advantage to avenge the heartache of last year – where he narrowly missed out on ERC Junior glory.

There was to be no repeat this time, however, with the Mancunian also reclaiming the ERC3 title which he won in 2016.

The result means that Chris will step up to the FIA ERC Junior U28 Championships next season and get his first taste of life behind the wheel of an R5 car.

Ingram prepares for title-deciding showdown in Latvia

The curtain comes down on the 2017 European Rally Championships this weekend, with just two points currently separating Chris Ingram and leader Filip Mares in the Junior U27 category.

Intrigued eyes will now be firmly fixed on the action in Latvia which commences on Friday 6 October at 20:30 local time.

First held in 2013, Rally Liepāja was set to open last year’s ERC schedule in February until excessive seasonal temperatures caused damage to stage surfaces – prompting safety concerns.

The subsequent autumn rescheduling has effectively led to an all-new rally as drivers and crews adjust to gravel stages free of snow and icy conditions.

British Rowing Team enjoy World Championship success

Only one country left Sarasota with more World Rowing Championship medals than Great Britain, highlighting another tremendously successful week for athletes from these shores.

The British team once again amassed an impressive haul of seven medals and were eclipsed only by overall winners Italy, who departed Florida with nine.

A dramatic final day of action saw Great Britain end the Championships on a high, as Tom Barras and Vicky Thornley capped a fantastic week by winning single scull medals.

The penultimate day of competition proved to be our most successful and ended with four medals for British crews during a whirlwind weekend.

Andrews provide heating hire solution for one of the UK’s best-known bakers

Andrews Heat for Hire recently responded to an emergency call from one of the UK’s best-known bakers. The company sought to raise temperatures inside a temporary warehouse to assist with the storage of bread, cakes and muffins, and needed a short-term heater hire to enable this.

As a result of a huge expansion project, the client began building a new distribution centre in to better accommodate their flour products. However, while the new facility was being built they were required to lease a temporary warehouse in Worthing.
