Beverage factory in need of Andrews Air Conditioning

Workshops are generally filled with machinery and production lines which all tend to heat up the enclosed space. When the temperature reaches unbearable levels it can be difficult for staff to remain concentrated.

An on–going client from Andrews was having trouble keeping their factory space cool. They requested various standard evaporative units but due to the size of the factory, the Andrews Air Conditioning specialist recommended the cyclone units instead. We delivered and installed four cyclone units within 4 hours of the initial call, placing them strategically to ensure maximum efficiency. These units are often used where access to the outside is difficult or impractical. They created a fresh breeze cooling effect and kept the working staff comfortable.

Hospital in Bristol requires temporary cooling

When a hospital in the centre of Bristol started getting too hot, Andrews Air Conditioning were approached and asked to provide a short-term solution. An X-Ray room in the children’s ward had become excessively warm while undergoing a major refurbishment, meaning a temporary cooling system was urgently required.

Following the initial enquiry, we sent an engineer to the infirmary to conduct a site survey, in order to establish which equipment would be most suitable. It was decided that two PAC 22 units would be deployed on the premises, accompanied by two heat exchangers. These powerful water-cooled air conditioners are safe and run on a standard power supply, making them ideal for medical facilities and similar environments.

By using Charing Cross railway station in central London as a focal point, staff were able to target large volumes of footfall and provide light cooling relief to those who wanted it.

In fact, the demand for our fans was so high that we ended up giving away a whole vanload in just one morning – equating to 6,500 fans in total! The response to our presence was extremely well-received, with people turning to social network sites to express thanks via messages and pictures.

Facilities Management company seeks urgent air conditioning

When a leading Facilities Management firm required immediate cooling for an office complex, they contacted Andrews Air Conditioning regarding a solution. The company’s client had already hired exhaust tube units from another contractor, but these were ineffective because of the building’s design. They had been ducted into the suspended ceiling but due to a lack of space, hot air kept returning downwards.

It was decided that split type units would therefore be needed instead, so that hot air could be directed outside. The customer sought alternative equipment immediately, with staff working within the office facing exposure to excessively warm temperatures.
