Within the beautiful surroundings of one of Yorkshire’s greatest mansions, organisers were busily preparing for their annual Christmas Crafts and Produce Market. With over twenty stallholders exhibiting outdoors in the grounds of this magnificent house, the organisers needed a reliable solution to combat the seasonal icy temperatures.

It was Andrews Heat for Hire who they called on again, and the excellent service and punctual delivery that they received last year guaranteed repeat business. Again, their temporary heating requirements were met by using a number of indirect fired heaters and accessories which were quickly installed to marquees on request. Once more the client was extremely happy with their heating arrangements and informed us that they were ‘Delighted again with the heaters – no issues at all which is great’.

Although winter is upon us, the organisers of the World Darts Championship could feel the heat. The planners of this high profile, televised event wanted to cool a stuffy venue with the capacity to hold thousands of expectant fans.

What’s more, the first darts match was to be held that very evening! Fortunately, one of our air conditioning specialists was able to assist and within five minutes of the phone call being taken, two compact 6kw ET21 air conditioning units with directional cooling options were recommended. Panic hit a major water works company after a pipe burst suddenly late in the night. The major water work company, that supplies water to a large northern city, needed to have the pipe repaired immediately before residents were left without a water supply.

Operating a 24/7 service, Sykes Pumps was the only company able to help. Our pumping specialists were sent to the site with a range of equipment to fix the burst pipe. The customers were described as being ‘over the moon’ with the service and fast response.

Sykes Pumps were there again for a customer where other competitors were unable to be so. A site flood in the North of England caused many trenches to collapse on Friday afternoon. Although other competing pumps companies couldn’t be there until Monday at Midday, Sykes Pumps arrived on site within the hour.

Sykes Pumps provided a range of first class pumping equipment to stop further damage to the trench and to begin the de-watering process. Sykes Pumps quickly fixed the problem preventing any further costs to the customer.

Sykes Pumps, through it’s North American Distributor Ameripumps, helped with the clear up operation in New York following the horrific Hurricane Sandy recently.

As floods remained out of control, Sykes Pumps provided a number of pumps to dewater many of the subways and streets in Midtown, New York. Our pumping specialists were also on hand constantly maintaining the pumps and ensuring an effective and efficient set up.
