Wet and damp conditions in a major build project across five floors risked slowing down completion. One call by the construction company solved the problem. Within hours, Andrews delivered two FH250 site heaters and 15 HD 500 dryers plus all ducting and ancillary equipment. The heaters were located at each stairwell and ducted into specific areas, together with 15 HD500 driers positioned on each floor. The site was quickly dried, work continued and the project was completed on time

Renovation – at Height

Historic London church was fully renovated by a major construction firm in a multimillion-pound, 18-month project for a leading orchestra. For 12 weeks Andrews provided two ID60 indirect fired oil heaters to support spire renovation. A special cement with a lime base was used, with the steeple clad in plastic; the heat ensured the cement dried in the correct way. Andrews also supplied four DE25 electric heaters as backup but, because the ID60s are so reliable, these weren’t needed.

SHIPBUILDING – OIL & GAS

A deepwater field off the African coast is being developed by one of the big oil companies. A key aspect was the construction of a huge Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessel, with a leading construction and engineering company building the topsides modules in the UK, Europe and Africa, with integration work in North East England. Andrews provided and installed a range heavy-duty heaters and ventilators to support this: FH500 indirect-fired site heaters, each one able to heat an area of over 3,500m3, plus FV900 ventilation and extraction fans that ensured fresher air flows and a safer working environment.
