Breakdown Threatens Production

When a major pharma company experienced a cooling failure at one of its sites, it needed a chiller fast or production would stop. Andrews moved quickly: the requirement was evaluated and a 540kW chiller despatched. Our sales engineer carried out a site survey while the equipment was en route and ordered all pipe fittings locally. The chiller, installation engineer and fittings arrived within 30 minutes of one another. The entire job, from phone enquiry to commissioning and re-starting production, was completed in less than 12 hours.

Specialist Cooling Overhaul

When a highly specialised cooling system at a pharmaceutical plant required overhauling, a temporary solution was needed. The system served processes operating 24-hours’ a day so a two-week shutdown was unacceptable. After a site meeting, Andrews recommended a 200kW low temperature chiller. The process required a cooling fluid at -25ºC and the permanent system used a specialist fluid - Andrews checked the fluid was compatible with its chiller before installation. The chiller held the process coolant circuit temperature at a steady -25ºC throughout the shutdown, with the client avoiding any production downtime.
