During a building project at a hospital in Yorkshire, under-floor heating was essential to cure floor coatings. But with permanent boilers weeks away from delivery, construction would have to stop. However, the contractor called Andrews and we provided a 250kW mobile boiler. The packaged plant arrived complete with pump sets and pressurisation equipment. The customer simply provided a single connection into the heating manifold and we did the rest. The floor was heated initially at 30°C and then in 5°C rises until it hit 45°C - a temperature range and tolerances most temporary boilers would struggle to achieve.

Andrews was asked to provide a boiler system for three temporary surgical instrument washing machines while refit works were under way at a large hospital in Suffolk. When the temporary washers were installed there was only cold water available. If hot water could be fed into them, the wash cycle would be drastically reduced, productivity would rise and turnaround speed up. The 375kW mobile boiler, with a 2800 litre bunded fuel tank, was situated outside the washroom, connected to the water supply and provided the machines with hot water using high temperature hoses. The results were immediate as efficiency improved dramatically.
