School Boiler Replacement

An English County Council needed to replace the boilers and heating system at a large school, with work taking place in term time. A plumbing and heating contractor was invited to tender and determined the total heating/hot water requirements at 400kW. Andrews provided a complete hot water heating system: the only viable solution apart from closing the school. This included a 500C mobile boiler, Transcube 2000 litre fuel tank, hoses, and all fittings. The project was meticulously planned by Andrews and caused minimal disruption to the school during the installation. This project led to the Council buying a 500C mobile boiler and Transcube plus extras.

Mobile Boiler Warms Young Minds

On behalf of the local council, Andrews provided a mobile boiler to heat a school while its ageing 200kW boiler was removed and replaced. The boiler was installed complete with 20 metres pipework and fuel tank, and was used for heating throughout the school. This was followed by several more boiler replacements in the area, some paid for by the council and others directly by schools. The local council involved is happy to recommend Andrews for mobile boilers.

School Flooding

After flooding in Carlisle, a local school’s boiler house was submerged under metres of water. However, the school had to stay open and bought electric heaters. This option was not only very expensive to run, it also meant warm classrooms but cold corridors and toilets. Andrews installed two mobile boilers plus fuel tank, generator and all pipework.
