Rally Hospitality

During the forest stages of a major motor rally, Andrews were asked to provide hospitality heating, for a night event, that would blend in with the decor of the marquee. The time of year meant equipment was in short supply, but because of our large stock we were able to provide and install boilers and air handlers from our local depot that blended with the decoration. The event was a success and Andrews was told they would be the organiser’s first choice at the next event.

Nice Ice

A leading specialist company provides temporary ice rinks for shows, TV, competitions and public use worldwide, with Christmas the busiest period. The rinks often need to be melted quickly to meet demanding strip-out time scales. Andrews supplied one of its unique high-speed trailer-mounted boiler packages, enabling the client to tow the boiler between sites without big transport costs. Meanwhile, the unique heat exchanger means the boiler can operate at very low temperatures, preventing thermal shock to both rink base and boiler. This solution helped the client dismantle rinks in record time.

Andrews Boilers help break Lynx Shower Record

Andrews Boilers helped a number of shower enthusiasts, including many Lynx bikini clad girls, to break the Guinness world record for the most people in a shower at one time.

152 people set out to break the previous number of 145 people under a shower despite wintry weather conditions. This was undoubtedly made bearable for the shower-fanatics by the100kw boiler Andrews Boilers installed, ensuring the water was set at a hot temperature all the way through.

Cameron Denne, Area Sales Manager, said “Sykes pumps worked with the engineers to design a hot water supply for the shower” a possible problem as the shower was located on a beach. Richard McCabe, who directly dealt with Sykes Pumps for the job, said “you couldn’t find a fault with the service or equipment. Everyone was super friendly and helpful and just did the job perfectly!”
