UK ‘basks in 35C heat’ with summer in full swing

The Met Office have warned about the potential dangers of a sustained period of sizzling hot weather after late June temperatures breached the 30°C barrier. Much of the country is expected to roast during July and August, with some southern regions already experiencing a climate akin to that of Rio de Janeiro on the Brazilian coast.

Forecasts for the days ahead have already triggered a ‘Level 2’ alert with officials warning: “Heatwaves can be dangerous, especially for the very young or very old.”

The alert comes as a result of a warm front and tropical air mass from North Africa, Spain and Portugal reaching the country, bringing with it high levels of humidity.

Fortunately, we at Andrews Air Conditioning are always prepared for extreme weather and have sufficient equipment stocked across our nationwide depot network to help alleviate the problem. No other company can match our range of cooling units or speed of service, which is why we are the first contact point for customers across a broad spectrum of industries.

So if you have any air conditioning requirements this summer or you’d like to gain a better understanding of how we can assist you, call us now on 0800 211 611.
