Electric Heater Hire for David Haye

Needing little introduction, David ‘The Hayemaker’ Haye currently stands as the hottest cruiserweight-turned-heavyweight commodity since Evander Holyfield. When David needed to maintain the optimal temperature in his training environment, he turned to the champions of heater hire - Andrews Sykes. We quickly set up an electric portable heater hire solution for his training gym consisting of two DE25 electric heaters and two DE95 electric heaters, sufficient to comfortably heat over 1000 square metres. Haye looks to continue his reign of terror on Saturday, April 3rd as he makes the first defence of his title against number one-ranked contender John Ruiz. The 12-rounder will be screened live on Sky Box Office from 8pm. Andrews Sykes sends their best wishes to David and hopes that he retains his title.

Our Portable Heaters Keep Christine Bleakley Warm For Sport Relief

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

For avid viewers of the BBC’s The One Show, you’ll know that Christine Bleakley has never shied away from an active challenge and for Sport Relief this year she wanted to do something really tough.

Christine rose to the challenge by water-skiing across the English Channel! Just her and a couple of planks of wood took on one of the world’s busiest shipping channels – in icy winter conditions! Christine had never even been near a water ski before her training started in October.

In a recent episode, Christine was put through her paces by some of the greatest British athletes ever, 3 legendary world champions in fact; 4 time Olympic Champion Sir Matthew Pincent, Double Olympic gold medallist Dame Kelly Holmes and Heavyweight Boxing Champion of the World David Haye to get her super fit for the challenge.

Eagle eyed viewers will have spotted a number of Andrews Sykes portable electric heaters placed around David Haye’s training gym to keep the environment at the optimal temperature for training. See the episode below and don’t forget to look out for our portable heaters!

Keeping Poorly Owls Out of the Cold

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

When Andrews Sykes were asked for their support to help save sick owls we were delighted to oblige!

The Suffolk Owl Sanctuary at Stonham Barns in Suffolk is a delightful place to visit. You can watch, study or simply enjoy the company of owls and other birds of prey. However, with only a few heated rooms available at the sanctuary to keep the birds warm, the owls are being kept in outdoor aviaries and in this weather the sick ones have been struggling.

The sanctuary was in urgent need of several industrial heaters to keep the aviaries warm. Not having the funds to hire heaters or buy portable heaters, the Andrews Sykes Group is delighted to be supporting a local charity and is donating the much needed electric heaters to the sanctuary.

The Suffolk Owl Sanctuary is wholly reliant on donations and admission charges for the upkeep of the centre, the welfare of the birds and the funding of the many education, conservation and rehabilitation projects so any unbudgeted expenditure is always unwelcome. That is why Andrews Sykes are delighted to be supplying these portable heaters free of charge in support of the excellent work undertaken by the sanctuary.

In support of little Nevaeh Leonie Green

Friday, February 26th, 2010

We are proud to be donating the use of three DE25 electric heaters to the African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust (ACLT). The trust was established by Beverley De-Gale and Orin Lewis, the parents of former Leukaemia sufferer Daniel De-Gale.

The ACLT is a voluntary charity, whose main aim is to increase the number of black and mixed parentage people on the UK Bone Marrow Register. This involves organising and conducting numerous recruitment registration clinics throughout the UK.

In support of Nevaeh Leonie Green, a friendly, bubbly and articulate two year old diagnosed with leukaemia, the ACLT are conducting a major blood and bone marrow donor recruitment drive on Saturday 27th February at the Whitgift Shopping Centre in Croydon. Andrews Sykes are gladly providing the portable heating free of charge.

Andrews Sykes sends their best wishes to Nevaeh and her family and hopes that she will make a full recovery.

We would ask everyone to please consider registering as a potential bone marrow donor and a blood donor. For further information please visit www.aclt.org.
